Word parts...WHY???
Word parts...why? Why a quiz almost every week? They don't make any sense! What is the point??
The point: career and college readiness.
Knowledge of word parts, along with context clues, help to figure out the meaning of unknown words. This helps when learning how to do a new job in any career, reading academic texts, taking SATs, among other applications.
But word parts can be tough to remember.
You are right - recalling information is difficult. It requires commitment to be successful at remembering and using word parts.

- Join Quizlet (link below) to find other opportunities to review - it can be accessed any time
- Use the Frayer diagrams you begin in class and complete for homework to review them
- Read your novel or other text for the purpose of finding words that contain word parts of the week
